Jason is a certified CE Instructor for Dexterity CE and a Mortgage Loan Originator with Open Mortgage. Prior to his role as a licensed loan officer for Open Mortgage, Jason was an Advisor in the High Net Worth and Financial Planning space in various licensed roles over 20 years bringing a passion for advisor development and high-quality client outcomes. This background working with the full spectrum of Senior-related issues (to include Long-Term Care funding, Annuities, Medicare solutions, Estate Planning, Legacy Planning, Retirement Income planning) led him down a years-long path to discover how misunderstood and underutilized the Reverse Mortgage/Line of Credit is leading to less than optimal outcomes for people who sacrificed their whole life to get to the point of eligibility. Jason brings leadership experience both formal and informal from Vanguard, USAA, Department of Veteran’s Affairs, and the US Army Reserve among other Fortune 500 financial services companies throughout his career.
Jason’s military experience as a paratrooper leading a Psychological Operations team included a tour in Iraq (2003) where he was most notably awarded a Bronze Star Medal, Purple Heart, Army Commendation Medal, Combat Action Badge, among others.
His formal education includes a Finance degree from The Ohio State University and an M.B.A. from Arizona State University. His current active professional designations include the CFP®, ChFC®, CLU®. In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with his 9-year-old son C.J., coaching youth sports, volunteering with Veterans groups, road trips (checking off National Parks), and open water swimming.
