Longer life spans mean that many of your clients will need to tap into their home equity at some point during their senior years. Today’s reverse mortgage is one of the most powerful options they can have when developing an overall and comprehensive retirement plan. Financial Planners will benefit from taking this class by learning to separate myths from reality, how tax-free funds can be used, and strategies to protect the longevity of the portfolio. Upon completion of this course, they will be able to educate their senior clients about a mortgage product that allows them to retain more of their retirement savings without the requirement of making a monthly principal and interest payment.

This course is approved for one and two hours of continuing education credit in all 50 states for Certified Financial Planners for live classroom or webinar offerings. Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards, INC. Program ID 245748 and 245749.

H4P - A Realtor’s Guide to Utilizing the HECM for Purchase course explains how to utilize FHA’s Home Equity Conversion Mortgage, or Reverse Mortgage to purchase a home. This program allows seniors, age 62 or older, to purchase a new principal residence using loan proceeds from the reverse mortgage resulting in no principal or interest payments for as long as the last borrower remains in the home. Real Estate Professionals will benefit from taking this class by; understanding the availability of a product that has been created for clients 62 and older, increased client referrals, increased business, and by understanding how this product can increase the average sales price of homes sold. Most importantly, real estate professionals will have the comfort and self-satisfaction of knowing they have helped their senior clients improve their lifestyle greater than they dreamed possible. (That is a hint to one factor that will increase referrals).

This course is designed to improve real estate licensees' knowledge of green energy, green housing, green lending, and the types of green certification available for buildings, systems, and licensees so that licensees may better serve clients who are interested in green living or building. The housing market is becoming increasingly greener, due in part to regulatory demand, and in part to consumer demand. Licensees completing this course will be able to identify the techniques used in green building, the benefits of green building for energy efficiency, resource conservation, and marketability; the types of green certification available and how they apply to systems, housing and licensees; and how to appropriately refer green contractors and other vendors.
